You do not have to be rich to travel around the world

One of my great passions is to travel, but everyone agrees that I have a costly hobby. I often want to be able to go with a colleague or a friend, but I always hear the same thing: I have no money for this, I'd like to, but ... I can't afford it. Then I feel quite unpleasant because I didn't find any treasure in my garden, I am not rich either, and yet I manage to travel year after year. Naturally, there are some things that I do so that I can get the necessary money.

You do not have to be rich to travel around the world

I set my priorities first, and after paying my taxes and putting aside the money for food and other living necessities, the next I save money for trips. What do I do to reach my goal:

- Firstly, I do not buy something I do not need. I've often heard people who go shopping and get something that they do not use afterwards, and that's how some money is lost uselessly.
- Secondly, I'm not interested in buying expansive clothes, made by exclusivist brands, I am not strictly following the latest fashion, I don't want to use the latest phones or tablets. I do not feel anything in front of a plastic device with dozens of functions, a touchscreen and with a huge price. I want to have a good smartphone, but not necessarily the best or the most expensive.

So you do not have to be rich to travel, you just need to know where to save money from, and you do not need very much money for the first time. You can start with cheap travels, that means visiting Cuba, Greece, Turkey, North-African countries. Then, travelling by a travel agency may be cheaper than travelling by yourself. Or if you like to be free, to have your own program, then choose low-cost transport companies. Once you have arrived in the desired country, you can do the hitchhiking, in many countries the occasional drivers do not get the money for that.
Inform yourself about cheap restaurants or even try to buy food from local supermarkets, but in this way, you won't have the chance to taste the local food.

If you are young, you can choose to join an au-pair program, or work during the summer as a bartender, waiter, swimming instructor, or work at a casino or on a cruise ship. This way you can combine work and pleasure to travel and see new places. Also, if you have a passion for photography, take advantage of it and take pictures of tourists, at a cost. As a student, sign up for Erasmus programs and you will be paid to see another country, so to speak :)

As you can see, you do not have to be rich to travel the world. I'm sure that there are many other ways to get money for travels without being necessarily rich.
